System Modularity - Buy and Use Only What You Need

Rotate8’s Precision Farming Rover is an inherently modular system. What does that mean in practice? The base PFR system consists of wheel modules with drive and steer capabilities, an aluminum tubing frame, brain box, and solar panels. Limiting the features of the base module means you aren’t paying for features you don’t need. Even this base system has modularity baked in at every step - you can choose the number of wheel modules that best fit your application, and the dimensions of the frame to fit your farm.

In addition to the base unit, modules can be easily added as needed. An arbitrary number of tool bars can be added depending on required spacing.

A farmer could add a manual driving package which includes a chair, steering wheel, and foot pedal.

She could add a three point hitch for raising and lowering implements such as spreaders, mechanical weeders, or bed formers, or a dump trailer for dumping manure, compost, or animal feed.

The easy interface for attaching implements also allows users to create their own attachments. Tool bars and mounts are connected via clamps along the chassis, which allow users to connect exactly where they need.

Through modularity at each step, the Precision Farming Rover allows growers to keep costs down, use what they need, and easily add features. The PFR empowers farmers to grow their own way.
